Having successfully qualified in Graphic Design, I started my career as a Book Designer for childrens' books and worked for leading educational publishers such as the Longman Group and for the Oxford and Cambridge University Presses. This involved both designing the books and commissioning the illustrations.

I feel this experience has greatly influenced the way I work now, giving my engravings and
linocuts their strong graphic quality.

My inspiration is drawn from my own imagination and is also influenced by my thoughts and feelings about life. My designs are often dream-like and surreal with a hidden narrative or an emotion that I am trying to express. I like to mystify a little and make people think, but in a positive way. I love intricate detail and rhythmical shapes.
